Mountain Class (Year 2) Dharma Primary School Mountain Class

Rainbow Class (Reception/year 1) we create an environment that helps the transition between home and school. We encourage a caring approach through group participation and children are appreciated for their unique spirit. We aim to make their learning fun and creative with lots of hands-on experience. We value creativity and imagination in all areas of the curriculum.

Our small, community setting offers a safe, nurturing environment, a skilled and committed team of staff and an excellent EYFS curriculum that integrates assessed learning with the individual needs of each child. The philosophy of the EYFS carries through to Year 1, whilst introducing more challenge and differentiation. Personal development is also supported through the practice of mindfulness, which is at the heart of our school.

In Mountain Class (Year 2) we maintain the creative activities and exploration that younger children thrive on and enjoy. We also build on developing study skills and understandings that will form the cornerstone for more academic learning. In doing so we study exciting topics such as Early Peoples, Ancient India and Space and the Solar System.

Visit our Mindfulness in Early Years section to discover how our unique ethos offers the best possible foundation for your child’s educational and personal and development.

If you would like to experience our Reception/ year 1 class first-hand, please call the school office on 01273 502055 to arrange a visit.
