On Monday 21st September we celebrated the UN’s International Day of Peace - visit our Facebook page for photos of some of our activities.
Early Years read stories and made artwork on the theme of peace; Mountain class wrote cards with good wishes for refugee children and donated a toy each to be passed on to children in need. Ocean also remembered children caught up in conflicts around the world and made peace signs in different languages and origami doves for our Peace Tree (in the foyer). Lotus have been reflecting and meditating on peace this week and were also visited by South African Sangoma, John Lockley (as part of their Africa project) who led a ‘dynamic mindfulness’ session in the African spiritual tradition.
